TCS Flag Day

What an experience!
Ever since graduating from Secondary School, ive not been doing Flag Day until today, where we volunteered for FCBC to do the good of mankind for Touch Community.

Was greatly encouraged by the many volunteers out there doing Flag day as well, be it old or young, they were all seemingly happy to be serving and giving! The same goes for my cell, we had fun for that 2 hours, yeah our shift starting from 1 to 3pm at Cityhall Area.

So to those who were around that area and had kindly donated to any of these TCS tin cans,
I thank you very very much indeed.

So me and Yanglin were paired up together, collected our tin cans from Sing Ai and other cell leaders at Raffles City's Starbucks and we walked on to Esplanade and then to Marina Sq connection area from Citilink and stood at the top of the escalator for an hour, flagging for donations.
Some were very obliged to donate, some not very keen, some dont even bother, some hesistated but there were some who were really sincere in putting their coins inside our cans.
It was all sunny and sweaty but the thought of getting my can filled up to half and seening the public donate wholeheartedly kept me going:]

A toast to the success of TCS Flag Day! Pastor Khong told us today at Service that we managed to raise up to the amount that we aimed for:D

Now that one has left the pasture.

The pasture is left with the 2 little pigs and the big bad wolf, now that one has left for the greener pasture. We are gonna miss you so Carls!

Mornings without you meeting us at the Guard House before we all go up to the office,
Lunches without you filling up our group of the usual 4 seats,
Cracking up jokes with Ken without your laughter,
Battling with our fustrations without you joining in,
Rushing out of ST after work without you being with us,
taking bus 90 without you makes the journey a little longer.
Everything that concerns you will be missed, but we are definitely gonna meet up for more movies, ice creams and whatsoever yeah:] We look foward to that Carls!

But in a way or so, we are happy for her that she is going off for a 1 week break to recharge herself before she goes to Creative for another 12 weeks of attachment. Definitely not easy Carls, but at the very least, it could be something you would rather do!

We cant describe that feeling of relief, anticipation and carefree exhiliration that gives us the sudden burst of energy that surges in our already tired souls. Leaving them all behind, we try to forget how drained out we are and leave Airport Road, dragging out feet along. The journey back from work was never the easiest but yet, at the thought of being able to be out of this place provides us the motivation to keep going, and to keep moving.

3 months of attachment, is that just something I just want to complete and get over with?
Seening it in all different lights, only the company of each other held me strong.
Hang on there people.

When you have such awesome company during dreadful attachment.

Thanks for the laughter and awesome company when work gets so boring!
Attachment sure gets so much better with you guys around!

Last Thursday! 13th Aug.
Pizza Hut at TPY with Carls and Ken Thomas!
Sadly, Phoebe wasn't around, she had to get her wisdom tooth plucked out. Must have hurt.
But shes all fine now, ready for the oncoming feast at sakae on tues. Shall update about it once i grab hold of the amazing photos Carls took with her dslr. Ah i wish i had her photography skills!

Presenting to you, the spotted veg in the lamp shade and the introduction of Sir Ken Thomas.
When 3 retarded gluttons come together,

i think we were really quite shagged that day. Our pale faces gosh!

A hungry man is an angry man.

I have got a chubby face, but isn't that so much better than the previous sullen one?

Hopefully, the chubbiness goes away soon once i turn 20. Ive to got to look my age already.

Blessed indeed.

The Green Lion and Her Friends.

Firstly, i will like to say a humongous THANK YOU to each and everyone of you who have remembered 15th August, to actually send me the many birthday wishes, even those unexpectedly!

it had been wonderful being officially 19. or so i guess. But still, ageing a year older only makes me younger, doesn't it? So,
Worked in the morning with Eva, had a pretty good time though it was not busy.
We just crapped bout the randomest stuff and Aslam came in with 5 very very micro cupcakes he bought from this signature cupcake store at Far East Square. Thanks Aslam!

I love the cupcakes, they are too pretty to be eaten, and each of them are like 5cm long? yes, 5cm! and five of them costs 5bucks. Not cheap but definitely aesthetic. Have got another idea for gifts next time:]

And thennn yet another birthday celebration with my beloved friends whom i never fail to celebrate with a good jap meal every single year! crankynuts and weebee, you girls are wonderful.
Head to Ichiban Sushi @ Esplanade, had all time favourite Cha Soba, and we went for some live band concert at The Concourse. Ah i just love Live music with all the rock, guitars, plug ins, drums, Bass beats, Everything, not forgetting good company as well!

Girls, we have many more years to come yeah!

Weebee has got one of the local bands' CD for free! The Bold her went up to answer some question and got this cool CD from The Lions Story.
Love their band, their music is freaking awesome, the lead singer had the vocals, the bass beats, the guitarist went solo for quite a number of times, almost flawless, his skills were darn good, the drummer was professional.
Perhaps, i should support Local Bands more, hidden talents are yet to be revealed in this scene.
Thanks a mil for such great company and celebratory dinner with mua on my 19th.
A toast to you for that yummy chocolate cake as well:D
P/S: Before i forget, there is actually this old man with white hair, dressed really appropriately dancing to the groovy tunes at The Concourse when the bands perform. He was cheered on by the crowd, he was not embarrased at all, just mastering all his strength and carried that energy of his throughout with his moves. and mannn he was way flexible!
Im not only amused, but impressed, at the fact that, though he was ageing, youth and that zest will bring him to the next dance step.
Again, its never too old to be young.
19 at this phase, so what?

Blessed Celebration

i couldn't express just how much i appreciate you guys being there to remember my birthday, to remember fathin's as well, to take the effort to celebrate it with us, to have just awesome spicy thai express for dinner with us, to gather as a small group just the way we wanted it to be, laughter, and all the little things that made us wholesome.

Many thanks to elaine, phoebe, mimi, ct and phat for such a wonderful 19th birthday.
Though it wasn't the actual day to age yet, (haha) im still eternally thankful.
Im totally in love with the guitar tuner you guys got me, yay thanks! and the beautiful card with all your heartfelt wishes.

And the woah oh-so-sinfully-delicious chocolate cake!
I love Thai food, its just the beginning.
Except for the fact that my stomach is still burning from all that spice.

But all is good, All is certainly good.

Day Of His Power 09.

Because God loves this tiny imperfect island of Singapore.

We have come thus far, to build a nation of our own that is very much blessed.
I've never felt so patriotic as ive felt so tonight. 'Day Of His Power' at indoor stadium tonight was good, ive come to know how much and my fellow singaporeans love Singapore so.

just one phrase, 'I Love Singapore' made up a whole lot of multitudes that consist of faith, commitment and so much more.

Happy 20th Birthday Fathin!

Over here, I just want to let you know how unforgettable you are.

We might not understand each other as much as we thought so,
knowing each other for at least 2 and half years now, we've been through so much, the downfalls, the pitfalls of stress, tremendous design work, misunderstandings from other fields and never between us, the relations you had that made you distraughted.

But through all these that i know, no matter how distant we are, the bond between us is held strong because at the very least, we still remember that good old times we shared.
Me, You, Siti and Huifen.

Im thankful for you.
You pressed on and supported in my love for running, you are probably the only one who shared the same vision in resistance to our own passions that brought me this far, and since we are both Leos, the ideals we had are far fetched.

From loving converse sneakers to supporting punks and hot athletic hunks, you have always been there for me unknowingly.

And on your 20th birthday, you are never old to be young again, cause i see a beautiful and successful Fathin in this uphill road.

you told me you are gonna transform soon to an all grown up lady and im anticipating that.

Fathin, our deep-rooted friendship can never be measured.
Happy Birthday babe!
